  • Where are the voiceover samples on the site, similar to other recording studios and agencies?

    While it is understandable that you want to hear a voiceover sample, our task is to ensure we provide you with the very best voice(s) for your project.

    In our experience, having all the voices in all the languages provides little help in choosing the correct voice for your needs. 

    You fall in love with a well-edited sample that combines the best moments from previous projects.

    However, it's our duty to know the subtleties of whether the chosen voice is right for your project or not. This means whether the chosen talent can speak fast enough, intonate appropriately, and whether the voice is old/young enough so you receive the desired result. These are just some of the criteria that can affect your final experience. 

    We treat every project with utmost care and consideration, so we will present you with the best multilingual voiceover that’s the best possible selection from our range of voices.

  • I need a voiceover in one (or more) rare languages today. Can you do it?

    Exceptionally fast delivery is possible in many cases – we like fast!

    Our voices mostly reside in the native country of their mother tongue. And that, ideally is where we want them to be, as it provides a genuine representation of the language.


    Sadly, therefore, we are at the mercy of the earth’s time zones, which provides inevitable time challenges in communication and the working day. Other than this, we love the Earth!

  • What do I need to get an accurate quote/deadline as soon as possible?

    Here’s what we ideally need to get you a really quick quote, and a deadline:


    -The final approved text

    Your choice of female or male voice(s)

    -Other related material, such as audio or video material, that needs to be in sync with the recording

    -Whether the recording needs to be split or named

    -Area of use, validity period of the recording (e.g. for advertising: 1 year, as an internet pre-roll, etc.)

    -The file format required for submission

  • When will the work start?

    We can’t wait to get started. So aside from the above points, as soon as we receive the following we will get to work straight away:


    -Pronunciation guide, if needed

    -Company details (company name, address, and EU VAT ID for EU partners)

    - Any relevant PO number/internal job code/unique job name for the invoice (if required)

  • The number of words in the target language is less/equal/a bit more than the source language. Why is the final recording still considerably longer?

    Languages are strange sometimes. A simple word count can often give misleading expectations. For example “Nurse” in English is one syllable. In French, it’s "infirmière" which is 4 syllables, and in German, "geschwindigkeit" which is ... a long word!


    There can be significant variations in the overall text, sometimes up to 25%. This can result in audible discrepancies and out-of-sync sounds. So it makes sense to think and work more in terms of character count.

  • Off-screen, time-sync, lip-sync, raw reading...what are these?

    When you don’t need any synced material then it gets easy. The speed is only then defined by the instruction, such as dynamic, normal, calm, etc. In this case we are talking about raw reading.


    Off-screen and time-sync refer to a situation where there is a time constraint (e.g. length of audio already recorded, length of video, or narration in the video where no character is visible or does not need to be covered exactly).


    If we need to synchronize the sound with the mouth movements of a character on screen, then this is called "lip-sync" ...just like they do in all those pop videos!

  • What form should the pronunciation guide take?

    In any case, it should be in audible form, (that’s right, don’t be shy, make it nice and clear and no mumbling allowed!). Even recorded on a telephone is fine. This is the only way to avoid any misunderstanding.


    Interestingly, although we do try to follow the pronunciation of a foreign phrase as close as possible, it may not sound the same when spoken by a native speaker. 


    It is also a fact that, although our voices will try to follow the pronunciation of a foreign phrase for a voiceover as close as possible, it is unlikely to sound like it was spoken by a native speaker.


    So "please in perfect English" is not usually possible. In our experience, even bilingual sounds are not perfect in both languages, one language is almost certainly weaker.


    Incidentally, it is worth noting here that, for precisely these reasons, it is not possible to produce a multilingual IVR with a native-like feel in all languages with a single voice. Where this is the case, we will try to recommend the most similar tones possible for each language.

  • My audio material is an advertisement, is more information important?

    Oh yes, very! It makes a difference based on where the advertisement is placed, e.g. on TV, internet, radio, or a combination of all these.

    Another factor influencing the price is the length of time you want to buy the broadcasting rights, whether that’s for a single month, one year, or several years, etc.


    Keep in mind that our voices do not work on a unit price basis per voiceover. The subject matter of the advert or the advertising company can also make a difference. We want to get it right for you, so contact us and we’ll be happy to help with this.

  • There are several voices in the source material; is it possible to use a single voice in the target language?

    Yes, based on some realistic expectations.


    If we alter a voice too much, it can often turn into something more comical to a native listener. When a voice starts to sound unnatural then people notice. So unless it’s for a Hollywood animation then you probably want it to sound authentic and natural, as that’s usually the goal for most businesses.


    Even voices with acting skills are unable to achieve 2 or more voices with the same natural tones, at least, not convincingly. The performance is likely to drift more toward Disney character voices.


    If the desired result is a naturally colorful performance, then instead of comedy character voices, more voice could be needed, or perhaps compromise on a single or even two (male-female) voices.

  • Can I listen to the recording, whatever the language... Is that possible?

    Sure, in most languages and for certain voices this feature is available. Simply add a request for a live session on your order preferences. We will then recommend voices for whom this is possible along with the pricing too.


    There’s just the world time zones thing, so we will need to take it into account.


    Numerous solutions can be used to follow recordings, such as phone patch, or common options like Skype, or Zoom. Or a professional platform designed for voice production like SessionLinkPRO or Source Connect.


    As long as you’ve got a fast enough internet connection for quality and to reduce lag, then our live sessions can also stream video and can be connected from multiple locations. You see, we’re a modern agency like that!

  • One word has been changed in the text, for our IVR system, and one short point has been added; will this be an additional cost?

    Hey, this can happen, so we’ve got options where you need to make changes.


    We help where we can, even a minor change after recording incurs a surcharge given that it requires additional planned studio work outside the original final text arrangement.


    If it involves post-production changes. Our voices usually charge a base fee for each of these, which can be painful for a single word. The safe solution is careful preparation, and a contingency budget for later required changes.

  • Are they mother tongue voices in all the voiceovers?

    Absolutely! We don't even use voices that "have lived in the target language area for many years" or "grew up/spent many years there". You need the real deal, so we use natives only, who live in their native country, and speak their native language!

  • I need a specific dialect of a language. Can this be done?

    We have almost complete coverage of European languages, but most spoken varieties are also available in rare languages. It’s not easy being so language-global, but we manage it!

  • My audio material needs special mastering, can it be done?

    Special mastering? That’s easy!


    Our veteran sound engineers are well aware of the requirements of both aging devices (e.g. IVR system sound formats) and evolving and changing modern industry standards such as cinema sound, YouTube, or TV (e.g. Netflix, Disney, Amazon) loudness standards.
